Paul B. Ankin was born July 10, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois.  He is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelors Degree in Accountancy, and a 1967 graduate of Northwestern University Law School with a Juris Doctor.
 
After graduating from law school, Mr. Ankin served in the United States Army as a Captain.  He was Assistant Post Judge Advocate General at Sixth Army Headquarters, Presidio of San Francisco, California.
 
In 1970, Mr. Ankin entered private practice.  During the Vietnam period, he was among the few attorneys in the area who assisted both reservists and draftees with their legitimate rights in regard to deferral or cancellation of their military service obligations.

Mr. Ankin has had offices in Chicago for the last 35 years, with a general practice in personal injury, criminal, traffic, real estate, divorce and military law.
