Also on Saturday, December 8, 2012 Howard Ankin was in attendance for the Children's Memorial Ball in support of the efforts of Children's Memorial Hospital. The Children’s Ball is the Medical Research Institute Council’s (MRIC) annual signature event. The MRIC’s year-long campaign of fundraising for pediatric medical research was celebrated at this black-tie event with a night of elegance featuring lavish hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dancing.

The LUNGevity Foundation's mission is is to have a meaningful and immediate impact on improving lung cancer survival rates, ensure a higher quality of life for lung cancer patients, and provide a community for those impacted by lung cancer.

On Saturday, September 15, 2012 Ankin Law Office's Telly Liapis along with his wife attended the Green Tie Ball in support of The Gateway Green Foundation, of which Ankin Law is a partner. The Green Tie Ball is Chicago Gateway Green‟s signature fundraising event. The infamous gala, returning each year with a new and engaging theme, raises funds for Chicago Gateway Green‟s Expressway Partnership Program, which creates and maintains beautiful, sustainable landscapes along Chicago‟s major expressways thereby reducing air and noise pollution and adorning the gateways into the city's communities. On Thursday, September 13, 2012 Ankin Law Office participated in the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services annual Race Judicata. The scenic race course took participants from Upper Hutchinson Field along Lake Michigan and back where they were treated to a great band and refreshments. Proceeds from the race help CVLS continue the important work of ensuring that the law works for all citizens, not just those who can afford it. (View photos from the event)

On Sunday, September 2, 2012 Howard Ankin attended the 5th Annual Chicago Teamsters Hispanic Caucus Soccer Event. The event is designed to encourage all teamsters and their families to enjoy a day of solidarity, tailgating and professional soccer which saw the Chicago Fire take on the Houston Dynamo.

From July 28th-31st, 2012 Howard Ankin attended the Annual National Convention of the American Association for Justice at the Chicago Hilton in Chicago, Illinois. Accomplished trial lawyers and experts discussed the latest developments in trial advocacy and specialized topics. The convention will help Ankin Law stay ahead of the curve when it comes to the latest developments in each of the firms practice areas.
On Thursday, July 26, 2012 Howard Ankin attended a symposium of the Work Injury Lawyers Guild at the Hilton Chicago Hotel. WILG held the Symposium commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the National Commission on State Workmens' Compensation Laws.
On Wednesday, July 25, 2012 Howard Ankin, along with his wife, sister and brother-in-law attended the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation's third annual Summer Soiree at Roka Akor Steak and Sushi. The Event raised more than $25,000 to benefit cancer research programs at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Robert H Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. Mr Ankin also discussed the Ankin Law Public Safety Initiative, a community outreach program whose goal is to decrease response time for police, firefighters, and ambulance crews by placing address numbers on alleyway garages in the community. On Friday May 11 and over the subsequent weekend, Ankin Law Office expanded to occupy another floor of their office building.
Howard Ankin gave a lecture to over fifty physical therapists on Thursday, May 10, 2012 focusing on the changes in the Illinois Workers' Compensation Laws.
On Friday, May 4, 2012 Howard Ankin, along with Scott Goldstein and Josh Rudolphi as well as several other members of Ankin Law Office, attended the John Marshall Law Schools' Freedom Award Luncheon. The luncheon is the board's annual fundraising event for the school.
Howard Ankin accompanied his wife to the Class Captains Recognition Dinner at their children's school on Thursday, May 3, 2012. The local school hosted the dinner to thank the past year's active parent volunteers who are so vital to the success of the school.
On Wednesday, May 2, 2012 Howard Ankin attended the JNF annual fundraising breakfast where he enjoyed the company of collegues from the legal community along with orthopedic physicians from the area.
On Monday, April 30, 2012 Howard Ankin met with the Southport Neighborhood Association to discuss the legalities of the Chicago Cubs intentions to expand Wrigley Field. Mr. Ankin heard from community leaders and discussed the positive and negative impact on the community if Cubs ownership does renovate the ball park.
On Friday April 27, 2012 Howard Ankin attended a lecture sponsored by the U.S. Holocaust Museum. The lecture focused on obtaining restitution for WWII Holocaust victims. Later that evening Mr Ankin was on hand for the Annual Fundraiser Gala for Rush Hospitals' Midwest Orthopedics Division.
Howard Ankin attended Judges Night on Thursday, April 26, 2012. The event honors all judges from the Bar Association.
On Wednesday, April 25, 2012 Howard Ankin attended the JUF Philanthropic Annual Fundraiser where Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame was a guest speaker.
On Saturday, April 21, 2012 Howard Ankin and his associates, along with members of the community took part in the Ankin Law Public Safety Initiative. The goal of this community service project is to place street numbers (addresses) on alleyway garages to help local law enforcement and fire fighters locate homes quickly. On Thursday, April 12, 2012 attorneys Jon Topolewski and Josh Rudolfi, on behalf of Ankin Law Office, attended the John Marshall Law School information job fair to advise current and graduating students on professions in law.
On Wednesday, April 11, 2012 Howard Ankin and Jon Topolewski were in court to file the initial preliminary petition in a pro bono case involving a dispute over whether their client properly gave consent for the adoption of her baby.
On Monday, April 2 2012 Howard Ankin attended a search committee meeting that carried late into the night. After months of observations and discussions Mr Ankin and the other search committee members were proud to introduce a new religious leader to the community.
Howard Ankin met with the Southport Neighborhood Association on Sunday, April 1, 2012 to discuss and prepare for the Ankin Law Public Safety Initiative, a community outreach event to take place on Saturday, April 21st. The Ankin Law Public Safety Initiative is a public safety program with the goal of placing house numbers (addresses) on alleyway garages so police and firefighters can identify homes sooner and shorten response times.
On Tuesday, March 27, 2012 Howard Ankin spoke to a class of local school kids about what it is like to be a lawyer.
On Wednesday, March 21, 2012, Howard Ankin attended a networking event for local business leaders.
Howard Ankin met with the head of a 7-clinic Physical Therapy group on March 17, 2012, to provide an update on new Workers' Compensation laws.
On Thursday, March 15, 2012, Howard Ankin spoke to employees of a local medical clinic about the new Workers' Compensation laws. Later in the evening Mr. Ankin met with the Northwest Suburban Bar Association to discuss current legal trends.

On Sunday morning 3/4/12 Howard Ankin and Paul Ankin in conjunction with Ankin Law Office’s Children’s Identification Program assisted over a 100 families of the Niles Township Community with completing children I.D. and fingerprint kits.
On Friday, 3/2/12 Howard Ankin received the settlement payment of $619,677.64 for a disputed tried claim. Howard Ankin’s client will also receive lifetime weekly payments and medical coverage for his injuries.
